Book Of My Life …. [very Short; Aging; Personal; Ph-Inspired] Poem by Bri Edwards

Book Of My Life …. [very Short; Aging; Personal; Ph-Inspired]

Rating: 4.5

My Bird-of-Youth has flown the coop.
No longer do I soar and swoop.
It's time now for the Bird-of-Old-Age.
The book's not done; I just turned the page.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
though i rearranged the title's wording and maybe made one or two other minor changes, this is the way i wrote the poem this afternoon and used it as part of a poem comment. i was commenting on Lora Colon's excellent poem, 'The Demise Of Youth'. she used the 'bird of youth' phrase very effectively. thanks Lora for the inspiration. :) bri

The passing of age is so succinctly put in this miniscule of a poem! Yes, the book is not done, but some pages have been turned! Many more chapters remain to be completed! Enjoyed!

The bird of youth when breaks the coop and flies away leaves behind memories and experience to turn a page once more but with a brighter light of wisdom. A great poem Bri.
