Boogeyman Poem by Diana Americano

Boogeyman

he comes along in the night
and gives children such a fright
he hides in closets
and under beds
hide your children and children of friends
hide yourself to save yourself
he's near
he's here
hear his laughter
hear his growls
he is everywhere and prowls
always on the hunt
for his next victim
hear him, fear him!
he is no myth!
silence as the closet creaks
silence as he draws closer
silence as he takes his fingerly knife
silence as he takes your life
silence as he drags you to hell
hear his victims scream
see his evil eyes
see him as he disappears
its the Boogeyman
he is here
he has come
to take us all to hell
