Bones Poem by Marie Jones

Bones

There was a dog looking for a bone
I was abandoned by another dog, left with fractured down my body, no more meat
He picked me up
There were so many bones with meat that I didn't understand
You nibbled on me for a while, it tickled but it felt so good
Until the day you crunched me up
Left me broken
While you picked through the pile again looking for another bone
