Bohemian Rhapsody Bus Poem by Genevieve Pilat

Bohemian Rhapsody Bus

Rating: 5.0

How strange it is when words unique
Combined with music so catching and deep
Create those memories you will forever keep
They are those moments you seek.

I've found my moment one silent night
On a bus ride home ending my day
Surrounded by strangers keeping still and away
From the world's marvelous invite.

And then on the radio I heard a song
That brought a smile to my face
A familiar tune I love to embrace
I couldn't help but sing along.

I sang it soft in a whispered key
Concerned to receive such judging eyes
But then right there to my own surprise
A stranger joined in with me.

We sang it real low, it was only us
Enjoying the music so epic and great
But from us two it became three then five then eight
Till everyone began and sang on that bus.

These strangers who kept quiet were suddenly loud
With their voices so alive so happy to sing
And to think that I was the one that started this thing
I must admit I felt quite proud.

We as strangers were willing to accept
A wondrous song that could transcend
And once the song had come to its end
We all had a moment forever kept.

So totally inspiring and wonderful, it is just fantastic how you were able to quietly get everyone singing this song! You broke the ice so to speak and everyone joined in! Absolutely brilliant! I love this poem for it's beauty in bringing people together, it brought a huge smile to my face and heart. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
