Blue Whale Poem by Ana Monnar

Blue Whale

Rating: 4.5

Blue whale, blue whale
How long can you be?
Up to 100 feet long
Bigger than a tree
Blue whale, blue whale
Largest animal on Earth
Warm blooded mammal
To its young you give birth
Blue whale, blue whale
Instead of sleep, why short naps
Lungs would not take it, I would drown
Magnetic field the whale detects like
compasses or maps

Finally found this poem for 'children' and appreciate it. I too am fascinated by the world of little ones and am right now exploring the art of composing poems with them in mind. I have not yet dared to print them here. You have prepared the way for me. Thanks.
