Blue Bells Poem by Macy (Nina) Dvirnak

Blue Bells

Rating: 4.0

Harken!
What be this
I hear?

The Blue Bells-

They are ringing!

They cry-
'Spring is here! '

See the angels ascend
To the heavens,
Taking with them the diamond studded quilt!

And,
Leaving the earth,
In the wetness and beauty
Of new birth.

Listen! -

The Blue Bells ring!

The sleepy hollow,
It yawns...

And the vines-
They stretch to the heavens!

The Earth is again stirring
From its snowy slumber-

And makes music unto its Creator!

The Blue Bells ring!

The blue birds sing!

The trees-
They give a shake!

The hare,
He thumps a beat!

And the wood pecker-
He keeps time
With the rhythm of the stream!

The swans,
They trumpet!

And the frogs
And toads-
They dance hip-hop!

The flowers whisper a prayer-
'Forget-me-not'

The fish, They swish!

The grass,
It rustles,

And as the sun shines golden
Through the forest,
It chimes!

The dandy-lions,
They shake their manes-

The owl is sleeping,
But contributes a hoot!

The eagle cries,
And beasts bow their heads!

Earth and sky shout forth its praise,
And all life unto God does sing!

Listen-

The blue bells ring!
