Blossom Poem by Della Perry

Blossom

Blossom is so dainty
Beautiful, tantalising
As it showers us within the garden.
The children dance in the shower
of light pink petals.
But beauty doesn't last
Slowly it fades.
Like the blossom petals
Whole and wonderful upon the tree,
Shimmering elegantly as they fall.
Then brown and dull
Upon the floor.
Trodden upon on the ground.
As the seasons pass,
As the world goes round.
