Blood Red Moon Poem by Doc Peters

Blood Red Moon

Blood red moon o'er earth
casting shadows ghastly
Samael it must be
seeding Death's rebirth

Life, is it worth
the pain of seeing thee
dying oh so slowly
saintly leaving earth

And ravens have wept
they wept o'er the loss
But the line I'll cross
to where she has crept

To reach where she slept
a tomb grown with moss
slain by thanatos
swiftly his blade swept

And took you away
beyond reach of mine
once I shall be thine
awaiting that day

Me and Life part way
ne'er saw the sun shine
darkness when fates entwine
a requiem shall play
