Blissful Ignorance Poem by Suraj Samtani

Blissful Ignorance

Who are You,

& Why do I expect so much from you?

The expectations have never brought fruits.

Why can't you leave me,

& why can't the memories of you exit my life?

They seem to have reserved their eternal spot.

The tingling sensations felt upon hearing your name.

The yearning to communicate with you upon every potential opportunity.

The affection I release to your soul upon life's every minute.

The infinite time spent living upon memories of you.

Why those feelings still?

They all seem unforgetable.

But for how long more?

I know you don't feel the same.

Yet, why do I?

Why do I trust you more than a todler to his mother?

Why do I love you more than a mother to her child?

Why do I want you more than husband to his spouse?

Why?

Why this difference?

What is it, that still keeps us together,

Yet distinctly separated?

O knowledgable one,

Please enlighten the ignorant.

Or, is ignorance really a bliss?

Ignorance is an eternal journey of self-discovery....about yourself, and outside of you. Bliss is only a matter of state which is convenient for those who choose to stay that way. The choices we make in life will determine which state we want to be in. Add laughter to that too! ! ! [More the better]. Cheers. Subroto
