Blip Humanity Glass Fused Into Fossil Record

Rating: 5.0

ego humanity desires to leave a record in stones
once we etched cuneiform symbols into soft clay or rocks
now we blow away mine entire huge mountains
bore sink drill holes into primeval past liquid oily soups

pristine was pastoral safer age planet earth before we harnessed atoms
learned how to deforest continents indifference melt polar ice caps
before blind greed; conventional, biological, chemical, nuclear warfares
threatened humanity all species in global event horizon extinctions
