Blazing Temples Poem by Buxton Shippy

Blazing Temples

Blazing temples
Saw them coming
Around the bend,
Adorned in spears
And armors.

Anchored,
To their foundations,
They gave
A martyr's nod
Cause
Bells told them
They were coming
When winter ends.

But
The belfries
Had made a pack
To chime, in unison,
Before they take
The hill
And so they did.
