Blank Poem by Chibueze Oscar Osuji

Blank

Like a ball suspended in space i float,
Towing through the emptiness all again:
The clock move to her duty, while i pause
With gaping space in my heart: wide but void.
The love that was there had been wiped away.
Just as imprint erased from dog-eared scripts.
I feel nothing, yes nothing anymore.
More days are passing by the calendar
When shall time stop? And repair her stitches.
My heart keeps ringing 'what is done is gone'
I'd sunk into space, can i be rescued?
If i could 'tis late, i'm already blank.
