Black Wednesday And Beyond Poem by Lydia Martin

Black Wednesday And Beyond

Do not fear those crates of brown and green
Walk proud and strong with your head held high
Hold onto thoughts of what once has been

Smile and laugh with those faces unseen
Close your ears from dark sounds in the sky
Do not fear those crates of brown and green

Arm in arm on each other we lean
Division will cause this world to die
Hold onto thoughts of what once has been

Unite the nation in high esteem
Bind together in a sacred tie
Do not fear those crates of brown and green

In God we trust, in our hearts we dream
The voice of power is but a lie
Hold onto thoughts of what once has been

Truth of words from Shaikh, Mullah and Dean
Allah akbar they forever cry
Do not fear those crates of brown and green
Hold onto thoughts of what once has been
