I'm in no race today
to take your place
in no hurry
to follow your daytime charade
that dark shadow
yeah no shadow, nothing in my face
this day
..and this I contain…just let me explain

No one needs your dark faces
looking down
anywhere around
everybody's already seen
yeah everyone knows
owns
personal dark places
I have found

Just worry about your own black shadow
yeah your own dark shadow
feeds on you
owns only you
only you today
this I am sorry to say

The black shadow comes crawling
crawling back to your door
the dark shadow, back to shock
…and back to lock, lock you up again once more
trying to nail your head to the floor.
why did you go back for more?

Try to look forward my friend
not just straight ahead
a dark shadow will always try
try to confuse
try to consume
if you listen to It all...and follow his call
if you're listening to the end
you just might end up dead
…, and your black shadow will just
replace your head
