Black Cat Poem by Matthew Peel

Black Cat

Black cat, we're not so different
You're no more evil than I
But we are associated with wicked ways
Deeds and forces, negative and crude
Yet we are no more evil than they
Persecuted and oppressed, black cat
We are thrown aside, ignored
Unholy words and satanic mutterings
Leave our cursed lips, so they say
But we are no more evil than they
Don't worry black cat, I am you
As you are I, both under 'God'
