Black And Blue Poem by Solomon Ndichu

Black And Blue

Moments that i want to cry
But I want to make you happy
Time heals! Why are you getting worse?
Let me be there to calm your soul
Let my shoulder be the tissue for your tears
Let my chest be the pillow for your head
Let my heart be the harp for your lullaby
Let my arm be the warmth for your body
Why God so merciful.Be so cruel.Give then take
In this time capsule
Set forth as if you were a sacrifice
I'll run to you as you run to hide
I'll stay with you when you want me miles away
I'll make you laugh when you want to cry
I'll light your world when it seems so gay
Time tells! Let it tell of our story
How two shared a bed of one and felt it was too big
How memories worth the universe were made in a single room
How you slept and we met in our dreams
How we could talk until our ears hurt
Am envious of sleep that makes you so peaceful, so calm, so content
Like a portrait worth heavens gallery
How it steals you away fro me
But sleep so that you open your eyes tomorrow
For that's all we want for our eyes to meet again
And if ever you doubt my love or need comfort
When in the dark and asleep
Count the stars you so love to see
That's how many times I'd die for you
Why you of all; This curse this dreadful illness
So you stare into my black eyes
As I stare into your blue eyes
As death finally beats you black and blue! ! !
