Birthday Alone Poem by Micron

I'm on holiday and you ask why are you so forlone
Well todays my birthday and Im just stuck here alone
This morning I opened my eyes
And stupidly in vain hoped for a nice surprise
So I stay at home, cant get the strength anymore to go out
If out I'd wander alone while others are in groups and pairs all about
People just talking, laughing and joking everywhere around
While I feel they laugh at me, and yet i won't make a sound
Yes I have online friends and talk daily there
They have real lives and in their way they care
Have fun, think happy they all say
Things will work out you are strong
But im another year older today and Ive waited too long
It affects your life and you can not think
Your mind starts to get all out of sync
But online I now try to be happy, I try to joke and not say
Because others have lives and try as I may
I have to really just accept my plight
There no point in trying anymore to fight
I wont say a word to anyone directly any more
Cos they just really just think im a bore
But inside this loneliness wont go away
This is my curse and its here to stay
I just have to accept noone is wants to come here
Its not so bad as noone will ever see a single tear
Because to everyone Im not really worthwhile
So online friends will be told im ok with a smiley smile
When behind the keyboard this is not true
But why should I even trouble you
For here I remain trapped alone in this place
No one really wants to see my ugly face
Well Im still on holiday and still all forlon
Noone cares its my birthday and Im here all alone
