Bird guano


I know nothing of birds
but why would a bird
a robin in this case
sit on a car door mirror
peck at its own image
in the mirror
for many hours
leaving now and then to refuel
returning
shitting while sitting
(its scientific name is “Turdus migratorius”
“turdus” meaning thrush, not shitter)
‘til the car mirror and door
turn white with its guano
why
