Bingo! Poem by Jay Alexander

Bingo!

Jasper Johns saw the number eight,
And he was illuminated,
Then he started to deliberate:
" A lonely number, should be mated.
I need something with more weight! "
Then the obvious he blithley stated:
'Paint by numbers my good man;
I'll draw them from the colours in my can! '
