Colcannon it was then night
and the livelong day -
mashed potatoes, cabbage
boiled in the pot, onions,
and if Biddy wanted,
a few bits of bacon!
Breaking fast in the galley
each and every morning
and dining at supper
most every evening
my shipmates and I
dined like Celtic kings
on our rusty old boat -
