Beyond The Red Door Poem by G J Salgado

Beyond The Red Door

I felt unworthy of his touch as his lips touched mine,
Knowing the curse of his ways for the only time.

I was wrapped within an illusion that I didn't understand,
He has proven himself more elaborate by his strong but delicate hands.

Each time that he came closer I felt his radiance,
All that I thought I knew became faded within his elegance.

A tall dark stranger he was born from a single glow,
He was an entity that I hoped I could bestow.

Cascading as we danced by an imaginary waterfall,
I soon became something I haven't known at all.

He took me into a world that didn't logically exist,
I was raptured yet tortured by his luscious lips.

Each time he kissed me I would began to forget,
Of anything that I knew to be true without regret.

I soon belonged to his realm upon another world,
Listening only to his heartbeat without saying a word.

At that moment I knew exactly what purpose he was for,
A unique beautiful soul that waited for me beyond the red door.
