Beyond The Horizon Poem by Akash Justin Ovian

Beyond The Horizon

So the scientist dipped his hands in water,
And proposed his perception in a long equation
And then he laid his hands on steel,
And built 'the new machine', that rare occasion
For the good of all, his mind twisted and turned,
And the same it was for all his kin
But even the scientist could not find His peace,
Until his heart looked beyond the horizon.

So the actor offered us a piece of his soul,
As he won the hearts of half the world
He roamed around in his fancy chariot,
His wealth and mind he foolishly unfurled
The strange desires in the depths of his mind,
He shared with the world and made them spin
But after all he still could not find His peace
Until his heart looked beyond the horizon.

So the philosopher told the world how to live,
Shared with them secrets that were lost in time
He explored the hidden treasures of the mind
And wrote down the greatest of songs and rhymes
He pinned courage to all of his great ideas,
And thrived on wisdom and not on sin
But even the philosopher did not find His peace,
Until his heart looked beyond the horizon.
