Beyond The Grave Poem by Joseph Eli Atisu

Beyond The Grave

Beyond the grave
Is where all men go
When the game is over
At the end of life's show

Beyond the grave
Is life's first chapter
For here's but a start
A prologue to the here - after

One by one, we'll all file out
Like stage actors, when the show ends
Carrying with us not silver or gold
Or any of life's dividends

But each soul shall carry a story
Written on each heart's tablets
To present to the master
How they used their time and talents

Beyond the grave
Is what matters
For there, we're the same
Servants or masters
