Beyond My Control Poem by Aldo Kraas

Beyond My Control

The kids at home scream when I am on the phone
So loud that I can't even hear what the person is saying on the phone
But I even interrupt the person on the phone so that I can talk to the kids
To be quiet so that I can talk to the person on the phone
But that doesn't help at all
Because they still scream as loud as they can
And I feel that it is beyond my control
Because I can't even control my kids at all because they won't listen to Me at all

Haha! Wow! This sounds like a scene out of my childhood! My mom on the phone (which it seems she was quite often!) And us four girls arguing and carrying on! Thanks for the fun reminiscence!
