Beyond Colour Poem by Chris Jibero

Beyond Colour

Colour is tied to the eye
that beholds only the exposed
but the real man is hidden
from the gaze and glare of all
because he dwells not in the exterior
but makes its abode beyond the flesh
avoiding to be tainted
by dirt and pollution
of a gluttonous mask overindulged
often times enticed and deceived

Deep inside the interior of man
dwells the heart
guarded like royalty
fenced round about by the body
with the ribs as its formidable pillars
one of which emerged man's helper
the core and essence of man
that harbours neither white nor black
a blender unifying all colour streams
into one adorable, pacific ocean
thus making mankind but one.
