Better Than You. Poem by Kassie B

His lies have traveled and carried on with him all through his whole life.
He has never escaped them,
and when you think the lies have disappeared,
you have another thing coming.

The lies of his are natural,
he does them without effort,
without intention.
He was born an innocent one,
and created into a monster.

He knows in his heart he does bad,
but will never show,
for he must be strong-
even when it appears to others as weak.
Weak he is,
and weak he will always be.

Love he cannot give,
for he doesn't love himself,
so how can he love you?

This same thought has ran throughout my mind every day,
everytime I see him I pitty him.
I am done with feeling sorry for him,
there is nothing that I have done that is moderately incorrect.
I am who I am,
and he is who he is.
To him saying the words 'I Love You'
is just a way to satisfy himself,
satisfy himself with thinking that I believe.
But all I believe is an error,
an error with his continuous system.

There is nothing I can recieve that will help me when I grow,
other than knowing-
I need better.
