Better Left In My Head Poem by Oliver Clarke

Better Left In My Head

Rating: 4.0

Close my eyes,
Shoot me down,
Watch me as I,
Hit the ground.

Would you cry?
Learn to fly,
Tell me you were,
Willing to die.

Tell me now,
Don’t wait for later,
You’ll cause me pain,
You’re my distant traitor.

I’ll hit my head,
But it won’t remove,
This hidden feeling,
That is left to prove,

I am not dead,
Yet not truly living,
One day I will be released,
But yet still not forgiven.

And now I’m lost for words,
But not because there hard to say,
I just think expressing myself,
Is getting a little too easy,

I know it’s good,
To be able to share,
But some of my secrets,
Are better left where,
They are for now,
Because they’re just too much,
Better left in my head,
So that nobody can touch.

Not even me.
