Betrayed Poem by Cheryl Anderson

Betrayed

Rating: 5.0

You uphold truth and honesty,
Yet you chose me to deceive.
Your lying, lying and cheating heart
Played me for a fool from the start
My lips and body forever yearning,
While your ugly ways - I'm still learning
Even as the tears fall from my face,
I still long for your warm embrace.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
But, I'm too weary, sad and forlorn.
