Betrayed Poem by Vanessa Parodia

Betrayed

Rating: 3.8

Can't you feel it?
Wasn't it your fault?
Deny it all you want
But that bitter taste hurts
It burns your gut
Everyone will turn from you
But you understand
This hurts them to
It shouldn't hurt you
You did this after all
But pain is not normal
This is your problem
You made it theirs
And you paid with the faith
Of the betrayed

When you trust someone wholeheartedly, and that person betrays you not in a thoughtless way, but in a thoughtful and self serving way, it is always very difficult to forgive that person. A well articulated and nicely penned poem. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
