Betrayal Poem by Priyanshu Jain

Betrayal

He has been betrayed by life
And is feeling as if cut by a knife.
Thinking why from others he was distinct.
Standing with death, ready to be extinct.

He had a beautiful girlfriend
Which was and even is the trend.
He made her his wife
And made the biggest mistake of his life.

He had his own business
Which had made him restless.
Walked down from one and boarded another flight.
Busy working like a plow horse, from day to night.
Then came the economic slowdown
Which made him fall, from a prince to a clown.

He was an orphan.
On his side was none.
Without any fame and distinction,
He stands on the verge of extinction.
