Best Intentions Poem by Kathleen West

Best Intentions

Rating: 3.0

Best intensions should count for something
Even if they never come true
Because it's the part of you that keep hoping
And gives you the courage to start anew

I would hate to think that I was judged alone
By the accomplishments that I do
Because I'm so sincere in wanting to do good
But my accomplishments are few

There's real joy in the wishing
And dreaming of good things to come
If more people dreamed of doing the right thing
Then good deeds would more often be done

Beautiful thoughts well penned. I suspect you don't give yourself nearly enough credit for what you do. Good people do that, they just tend take their deeds for granted. Regards Ron
