Best Friends Forever Poem by Linda Patino

Best Friends Forever

Without a second thought we do the pinky promise to be best friends forever.

Best friends engrave our soul with love and laughter as we move on forward.

There comes a time we must say good-bye and start a new chapter to our life.

A bit teary eyed we hug and wish each other our best, then we’re on our way.

Our memory box is a keeping-place to our mischievous character from the past.

Every now and then we bring out our memory box tucked away behind our heart.

Fun memories we have shared are a blast from the past always to remember.

As the years quickly rush on by, we can’t help but notice our hair starts to grey.

Yesterday’s memories are a bond from our youthful days gone past.

Looking back through the years good memories will surely bring a smile, and laughter too.

Whatever else is lost through the years, we’ll always have our pinky promise to be best friends forever.
