The Crow

Best Friends - Poem by The Crow

When the shotgun went off
It tore out my side
Took out a kidney
And a piece of my spine

It was in slow motion
As I started to fall
When I hit the ground
I started to crawl

But, you kept coming
Gonna put it to an end
It's hard to believe now
We were once best friends

As you stood over me
And put an end to the chore
There was a burst of bright light
And I was no more

The End

Good piece with a quatrain of four stanzas.

    In The Name Of Friendship
    Hi John,
In the name of friendship, a kidney and a piece of spine.. Just a shotgun! ! !
    And,

    As you stood over me
And put an end to the chore
There was a burst of bright light
    And I was no more

At the end of the tunnel, there is bright light; or is it not there?
When a friend turns foe, the earth stops its spin....1000

    Best Friends
Life is strange. Sometimes your best friend tries to kill you (thank God he didn't) . And on other days, one of your enemies becomes a close friend. I sincerely hope that you never have a repeat of your scenario. And may you have some enemies turn into friends.
A very unique and brilliant poem. Gave me the creeps, but in a good way!
If you have the time, please read and comment/rate some of my poetry. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

keep your friends close your enemies closer, in this poem translates to watch closely and keep unarmed, or disappear before the shotgun comes near :) (Report) Reply

    Hard feeling
When someone as close as friend turns to bitter enemy the revenge is brutal (Report) Reply

    Worst foe
It reminds me of the song THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR popularized by STEVIE WONDER AND FRIENDS.... Congrats on being selected for the day......... (Report) Reply

Very good poetry, you've captured the physical and emotional anguish...like Brutus stabbing Ceasar the most unkindest cut of all. (Report) Reply
