Beloved...(Sonnet) Poem by Sharon Smith

Beloved...(Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

Oh night so beguiling, begone this I say
as the sun did kiss the awakening dawn
Oh Light fill me now hence this longing so sure
Thou art to my soul pure ardour..delight

Let thy loveliness fade in the sweet of the morrow
and still Mine Heart never cease to endear
as Love be thy banquet..sing Thee..sing Thee

Oh turn Thee Thy smile lest I am overcome
Look not upon me..sing I..sing I
Lest Thou cause to my continence a puerile display
Blushing, Oh verdantly, for all to see

Let Thine heart hear my song, let it flow through Thy Veins
With vehement desire I await Thy return
Make haste my Beloved, make haste unto me.
