Belong Poem by Matt Burgett

Belong

Rating: 4.5

Somewhere to go somewhere new
A place where friends exist
To those unknown just me and you
Where I can stand with confidence

This place has lost what touch it had
If there ever was anything there
In Idaho I no longer know
My friends in this world are where

Not in this state now that's for sure
were they're at I wish I had known
My friends I had and the time's a blur
Soon off into the clouds I will have flown

But I write to help myself see
Just were in the world that I belong
Maybe it would be just you and me
Until the day I start writing songs

Until that time when it's you and me
I still search for were I will go
I need to see what I need to bring
On the current south with the water flow

Wherever you are and the closer I get
Your life force calls out like a song
Plus during my search I will never forget
To where in the world I truly belong

I know it's with you whoever you are
It's my nature to search for the truth
though the times seem always hard
I know one day that I will find you

I loved this poem =] I really do hope you find the place you do belong, One little mistake I saw was a typo.5th stanza, last line. Current-instead of Currant. Other then that I really did enjoy reading this piece and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.
