Believing Is Not Seeing Poem by Milica Franchi De Luri

Believing Is Not Seeing

Rating: 5.0

It isn't about what you see with your eyes
when you point them up to the sky's
or what you think is lurking about
in an empty dark house,
that gives you the shivers,
that makes you want to shout.
It isn't about what you believe,
it is about the life you live.
It is about the choices you make,
about what you give and what you take.
the Divine intelligence is there
you will see it when you learn to share,
when you learn to give
more then you receive

Wonderful lines with a good poetic feel about them, MIlica: It isn't about what you see with your eyes when you point them up to the sky's or what you think is lurking about in an empty dark house

Clever Poetry, Nice to read and fully comprehend. You have the silver light flowing through your work. You know as well as I that you can get out of life whatever you put in.........Thank you for putting 'It' in. Kind Regards Philip.

It is true that believing is not seeing, but at some stage we have to believe though we do not see. For instance, mother tells the son, 'He is your father.' This son has to believe, though he has not seen at the time of his birth. So also, we don't see God, but we believe He exists. Like this, we can quote so many examples. Your nice poem provoked these thoughts in me.

There are advantages of sight too.....though in practice, there are instances of 'short-sightedness'...Ah yes, sharing....feeling....I agree. Cheers. Subroto
