Being Alone Poem by RAJESH DEY

Being Alone

No qualms about being alone
Fortune God bestowed
To taste benediction of self reliance
And grappling truth solitary and alone

You shall not goad
Whips shall not be issued for complaisance
You shall not run into rage without taker
Ire and fire shall not emanate perforce in a regime of detente

You shall not bemoan the stars studding the platter
Your morsel shall have no critic save your hunger
They say mutually tolerate others diatribe and invective
Acquiesce to tossing head and trembling body
Wait and everything shall pass

I say mutually agree to be alone
To wander in the wonder-world of silence
We shall not spite the another
We shall fly in freedom to uncharted sky
Beyond exploitation
