'Behind Her Smile' Poem by Mitz Yao

'Behind Her Smile'

I see her often with a sweet tiny smile,
But strangely something in her eyes.
I asked her once if she’s alright,
She said she’s okay and gave me a smile.

It’s been a long time I've seen her laugh.
A joy from her heart even life is tough,
It maybe another day that‘s quite rough.
Can’t even sketch her face with a hyperbolic graph.

A mysterious smile, likes Mona Lisa’s smile?
Hiding her sadness, it’s been for awhile.
Her joy in heart has been exiled
From the event of the past that’s flebile.

I wish I could change things for her
And bring back the joy and her laughter
A joy in her eyes and smile that utter

The reason behind her smile is now matter.
