Beginning Of Your Story Poem by Alex McCullough

Beginning Of Your Story

Keep running, keep running,
Little me,
Until you get to your dream,
That is when truly,
Your life shall have began!
Marching back and forth,
Marching back and forth,
How many times do I have to do this,
Until I've become a adult?
Leaning against these empty walls of mine,
My heart yearns to jump over them,
And run through the fields beyond,
Without a care in the world.
I know I should keep doing what I'm told to,
But the real me is getting so lonely,
So instead I think I'll let it out,
Even if I'm not supposed to.
Keep running, keep running,
Little me,
Until you get to your dream,
It is really easy,
Just keep having faith in yourself.
And someday,
You'll reach the beginning of your story.
