Begin Again Poem by Tilde Sauffaus

Begin Again

He looks at you
You look at him
A gap between a different kind of sin
A new world for help and new ways of dim
Always changing a light of false
Neverstanding in the long halls
Love at first sight they said
It may not happen for you
Only a fairy tale to come true

A sparkle in his eyes
You see a family filled with trust and no lies
Love and kindness fills you with hope
A tree with children climbing
A world filled with lining
A new story to be made
World with cheers and a gate
A gate that opens what is there?
Only a new world to share

You want to tell him what you saw
But maybe he will think of you as a bore
Why not take a risk?
See where it goes?
Take the key and find the lock
Where is lock? Nowhere to be seen

He's gone
You wanted another moment that long
Maybe someday else he will show up
Looking into your eyes and going up
Towards you
Saying he loves you
Like children climbing up
Up on the tree
It's like a flee
You never saw him as the same
Always a new story and a new game

A fairytale that may never happen
Just happened to be seen again
