Before You Judge Them Poem by Miriam Mababaya

Before You Judge Them

‘Tis foolish how some spend their days and nights,
Keeping an eye on what concerns them not –
These humans who call themselves so-called ‘spies’,
Who falsely think they know each human’s thoughts.

To them I say, “why spend your hours judging
The actions of people which you don’t know?
Why leave your loved ones and live life spying,
When all humans’ deeds will one day be shown?

Why search for the faults of those you spy on –
When you, like them, are humans with mistakes?
Know that God will someday judge every one
- When secrets may unfold – on Judgment Day.”

Before you study a human like you,
Know that God can see all that you both do.
