Before I Die Poem by Chinwe Robert

Before I Die

BEFORE I DIE:
Before I die
And give my last
This I pray
Or wish or say:
To see a maid
Or an angel too
With a smile on my face
Not some forlorn look
Keeping a frown
Would make a me an ugly corpse too
For death and life a transient two
Gives a man a troubled look
But life in death
And an angel's smile
Makes a soul
A happy tool.
