Bedside Angel

Dear Angel standing in the dark
That friend of mine who will never part
Your love your trust your guiding light
Watching over me this night

For you I cannot see
You’re in the dark at the side of me
Guarding my every breath
You’re a beating light inside my chest

Keeping me away from harm
No restless sleep all is calm
You talk to me in my sleep
And in my mind, you I will keep

    Hi Jim! I so enjoyed reading this beautiful tribute to your Angel, which comes from your very spiritual heart through your poetic pen. I adore the simplicity with which it is written, it makes the inking most appealing and attractive to me. I am certain your beside Angel is the happiest Angel in Spirit, due this excellently crafted write. Thank you for kindly sharing, Jim. I wish you a very lovely evening and a very nice weekend to enjoy! Blessings always... (Report) Reply

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
