' ' ' ' Because Of The Darkness Poem by Dónall Dempsey

' ' ' ' Because Of The Darkness

Rating: 2.7

I doesn't matter
what is

showing.

I see nothing.

Or whether I've seen it time
...& time again.

I go to the cinema

to be alone
in the darkness.

To sit with strangers
in this shared darkness.

Pretend I am
not alone

as light flickers
& the illusions of love

are played
out.

I go to the cinema
because of the darkness

trying to escape
your voice

crawling all over
the inside of my head
