Beav Cleave - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Beav Cleave - Lincoln Park Zoo

A beaver's gotta gnaw on wood
For the room and board, so to speak.
Also to keep my teeth real good,
Doing jaw job from cheek to cheek.
Now here at the Lincoln Park Zoo,
My room and board is given me,
Which cuts down on my need to chew.
A lot of idle tooth time be.
So I get lots of woody stuff,
Just like I have out in the wild,
Keeping my chompers sharp and tough,
Best dental set that ever smiled.

On wood, just leave it to beaver.
I do gnaw through like a cleaver.
