Beauty Under Sea

I'm at the bottom
Of the sea
I see
Fish of various
Shapes and colors
Gliding by
Umbrellas of pulsating
Jellyfish
With tentacles
Trailing behind
Sponges breathing
Water thru pores
Octopi stretching
Their arms
Corals showing up
Their polyp heads
It's an all new world
What I see here's
Simply beautiful
Beautifully elegant
Exquisitely wonderful
What a view!
Diving deep
Into the sea
Is a great experience.

I begin to worry
About man's
Destructive encroachment
Spilling oil
From tankers and wells
Dumping sewage and waste
Catching fish
Indiscriminately
In gigantic nets
Using noisy boats
Powered by
Mighty engines
Polluting
Disturbing
Spreading utter chaos.

Will we be able
To preserve the beauty
Underneath the seas?
Will this priceless
Grandeur be
A thing of the past?

The Sea is full of mysteries.... perhaps there is greater diversity of life in water than on land.... Unfortunately because of man's excessive greed and callous handling, the pristine beauty and splendour are consistently destroyed... Some sensitive souls cry over it, but most us are just indifferent.... A very detailed description of marine life! Enjoyed!

I invite you to read my poem..... The Sea in Motion (Report) Reply
