Beauty Poem by Nitya Swaruba

Beauty

Rating: 5.0

Beauty presents in a million ways
Each time something different it says
Makes me hope, makes me pray
Whatever it is that it stays
Beauty presents in a million ways

Beauty can be seen in many things
A little flower or a voice that sings
The smell of a dish and the taste that clings
A pretty girl's face and the joy she brings
Beauty can be seen in many things

Beauty is not just what it seems
Whenever I see it, though, it gleams
It's more than amplified in my dreams
My heart and soul want to scream
Beauty is not just what it seems

Beauty always turns me on
Even when happiness seems long gone
One glance makes it right from wrong
Puts in my mind a lovely song
Beauty always turns me on

Beauty is the bottom line
It is strange sometimes
Makes me want to change my mind
So I can't help but say
Beauty is the bottom line.

Beauty - an enigma as undefinable as it's unmistakable is well depicted in the poem. An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned in lovely rhyme scheme with conviction. A Thing Of Beauty Is A Joy For Ever - JOHN KEATS. Thanks for sharing Nitya. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
