Beautiful Lies Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

Beautiful Lies

Rating: 4.0

And when I said those things
Told you those words
I didn't know that they weren't true
They were beautiful
I put together beautiful lies
And I didn't mean to hurt you
I just wanted to say something that mattered
Something the world would remember
And I saw the stars that night and
They sang and danced in sparkling rays of light that kissed the earth
In tiny pinpricks
And I told stories of their constellations
The heroes and lovers of old and
I said that one day we'd be up there too
Immortalized in light for all the world to marvel at
And when I said those words to you
I didn't mean to lie
I just didn't know that they weren't true.
