You'll never see how beautiful you truly are
all you see are the cuts, bruises and scars
you don't deserve what has been done
hate and hurt has left you numb
there was no reason
for you to be beaten
you drown in a deep pool of self-loathing
trying to understand but really still never knowing
a shattered soul, emptiness
you've never seen any happiness
concealer can't hide the truth
of what has been done to you.
