Beaten Inside Poem by Shelley Williams

Beaten Inside

Rating: 5.0

She stood in the corner
where she tried to hide.
She had been beaten
and she felt dead inside.

The fight was over
or that's what she thought.
Once again the punches
proved she was caught.

She tried to escape
all the pain felt inside..
She quickly passed out
with the tears she cried.

'Nobody likes you! '
The words echoed aloud.
She was left on the ground
and the bullies were proud.

Nobody saw the danger
nor did they seem to care.
They called her names
and left her lying there.

Suddenly all was quiet
and she awoke to the night.
With fear in her heart
she survived a bad fight.

Alone among shadows
she arose with the pain.
Unsteady she wandered
in the thunder and rain.

She could not be herself
and be accepted by friends.
So, she took many pills
thinking that's how life ends.

Her greatest desire
was to be loved and wanted.
But, so many were cruel
and she was often taunted.

She never met the morning
for death came her away.
Free from the broken
and the dread of the day.

The threats and the hate
were too much to bear.
These are the days
when suicide cures despair.

I hate bullies. The internet and the media makes it look like bullying's acceptable more than ever. Everyone else are turning into sociopaths

Swimming in the sea of sadness yet a wake up call and a trumpet blass for kindness! Well done my friend!
